Up for sale is a wonderful antique original German chess match oil painting. It’s painted with rich color and an exquisite composition consisting of many different figures. There is a lady seated at a chess table in the foreground while the surrounding figures watch. It is painted on canvas and set in a very ornate modern gilt wooden frame that has a green velour matting. The original canvas was re-backed and stretched with new material as seen in last photo. It’s in nice condition with normal ware and measures 24 1/2 inches by 20 1/4 inches framed. It has some paint loss to one face as shown in last photo.
