Here is a French school oil on canvas, impressionistic view of a farm in the French countryside. The various colors green, yellow and orange would seem to convey autumn. This is a handsome composition. The trees along the lane would seem to convey a breezy, windswept day from the first quarter of the 20thc. The artists signature (indistinguishable) can be found on the lower left corner. The canvas measures 12 by 15 1/2 to sight and 17 by 20 in the gilt, wood composition frame which features a floral vine motif and features a gold leafed inner liner. The paint surface is in excellent condition with the canvas showing some wear in places. A patch has been applied to the upper right of the canvas on the verso.
