Gracie comes from a highly regarded family of indigenous artists her mother is Myrtle Petyarre and daughter is Cindy Morton. Like many female artists of her era, Gracie began working on Batik in the early 1970s before switching to canvas in the early 1980s. Gracie depicts her dreaming of Bush Plum or Arnwekety, a plant which has significant importance to the women of her region. She uses a very delicate dotting technique and traditional colours. Aboriginal Painting by Pandora Long Pwerl (P11-78). Pandora began painting for Mbantua Gallery in 2007. The main story that she paints is Bush Medicine which was passed down to her by her father, Henry Long Kemarre, and relates to bush medicine plants found throughout Antarrengeny country in northern Utopia. The soft leaf like strokes of her painting style has been heavily influenced by her mother, Jeannie Long Petyarre, and half-sister, Marcie Turner Pwerl. Bush Medicine Leaves and Seeds.
