Its not an identical copy, its a recreation of an old subject. This recreation will have texture unique just to this painting, a fingerprint that can never be repeated. Original slim abstract painting on canvas created by UK artist Swarez
This was one of my test canvases that never made it to the website for sale. It’s painted onto a polyester canvas that was used as a sample to evaluate how well the paint adhered to it. From this test phase I went on to create a number of small artworks using this variation of canvas I get through a lot! It has never been stretched around a frame. Ideally it will be suited to being stretched over a 45mm profile timber frame (not supplied) at a size of 150cm x 45/50cm but you can go smaller if you desire – that’s really the optimal maximum size you can get out of it. Overall canvas size is 167cm x 65cm. The frame is NOT supplied with it and you’ll need to find your own. I will answer any questions as quickly as I can. Original Wahso Chan Oil On Canvas. Beautiful Work Of Art. Masterfully Created
This is an original oil on canvas painting by the Chinese American artist Wahso Chan. He is known for the paintings he made of the Elders in San Francisco’s China Town. Most often these figures would be smoking either cigarettes, tobacco pipes or opium. He was a masterful painter who could capture the mood and character of the subject with bold brush strokes and very stark light and shadow. This canvas was removed from its stretcher but sustained no damage because of it that I can see. This is wonderfully painted work of art and would show well when re-stretched and framed. Feel free to message with questions. And thanks for looking. Chinese Artist Wahso Chan painted the Elders of the San Francisco China Town. Chan was killed at a young age in 1937, due to being crushed between two delevery trucks in San Francisco. Chan was just reaching the pinacle of his career at the time of his untimley death.
