In the foreground there is a cottage near a pond where several ducks are swimming. The cottage is nestled into a wooded landscape, with tall mountain peaks visible in the background. Estimated age circa 1930’s – 40’s. Size of artwork is approximately 32″ H x 36″ W Framed size is approximately 36″ H x 40″ W. Painting shows normal / average signs wear from natural aging, and many years of display. There are a few small holes in the canvas in the “pond” area of the painting, underneath the ducks (please refer to photos). Kort was born in Berlin in 1939. He is the son of a contractor and his father had hopes he would become and architect.
