Vtg 1984 Original Lauro Lopez Signed OOAK Oil On Canvas Lg Framed Painting. The exquisite talent of Lauro Lopez, the artist who painted this original, OOAK stunning piece of art is almost indescribable. Each painting Lopez created was unique, no one the exact same. His forte seemed to be a two-shelved cabinet with different objects on each shelf. Still life paintings are usually what new artists paint at the beginning of their careers, but Lauro Lopez made a name for himself with his incredible still lifes. The extreme detail in the everyday objects he chose is outstanding; so full of clarity and distinction you almost believe you’re looking at the actual objects, not a painting by an extremely-talented artist. This painting by Lopez is quite large, 29″ length by 37″ height with the matte and gold painted frame. The top shelf features a series of sliced melons in a bowl, hence the title, “Sandia y Melon”. The features are brilliant and extraordinary. Next to the bowl is a bunch of slightly-browning bananas. The lower shelf features a clear, mint-colored water pitcher with lime slices floating near the bottom, and you may be fooled by the extreme clarity of this. It looks so realistic. In the back is a Delft-style blue & white plate standing horizontal, and in front of the plate is a pedestal plate with various breads, pastries and fruits. Below that is a flat serving plate with a selection of colored petit fors and other desserts. This original signed oil on canvas is for art connoisseurs; for the serious collectors and art lovers. She has had many years experience teaching painting in public schools and continuing education programs. In the last three years, she has taught painting workshops and classes in La Manzanilla, Mexico. Carols passion for self-expression is evident in her still life, landscape and abstract paintings and collages. Carols artwork has been exhibited in public and private galleries, and is in collections across Canada, the USA, Mexico, and Europe.
