Santa Fe Southwest Landscape Art Oil Painting Western Mountains Monsoon Sunset
Medium: Oil on Canvas Board. I’m an artist, actor, and volunteer firefighter. For the past twelve years, I have been traveling in my Airstream trailer painting landscapes of this beautiful country of ours creating art that tries to capture a poetic mood. Inspired by the color and light, whether on a majestic landscape or intimate still life, using the techniques of Impressionism, Tonalism, and Realism is what I wish to share with the viewer. Exploring not only the landscape of the United States but also the wonderful art treasures we as a country possess. I have studied in many of the art museums from coast to coast and have learned many a lesson from the great art masters of the past. From Rembrandt to Monet, to Van Gogh to Jackson Pollock and beyond. As an actor, which I have begun fairly recently, I have been on many sets. As a volunteer firefighter, I have a deeper sense of community by giving what I can to help those in need. WHITE RAVEN Native American. The storm fell on the concrete streets where sirens echoed among those throwing bricks into his brothers. A raven landed blue as night and transformed into a robed one from long long ago. His earring as gold as the sun and a head dress of many colors he looked to the group before him. Why do you destroy your brother? Dont you know You are much much stronger together. He dissolved into their hearts. A new path is opening my friend. 18 x 24 inch original oil on Stretch Canvas Oil Painting. Signed and dated by artist. My Art work is high quality work. Each piece is done with care and emotion. Follow me on instagram. Com/laurelle_macy_studio to find the meaning behind this work. This painting is about be still and pay attention. The color and brush stroke is rich. The rich texture and a close crop makes this painting alive and engaging. The compelling color and the emotional charge make this painting personal. This is Professional quality oil painting. It is one of a kind. It calls up the spirit of American History, the frontier, the west, and those who are a free spirit. This work has visible brush strokes, full bodied and is alive. There are earth tones in each painting so that it fits in on any wall. Laurelle Macy grew up on a farm in northern Canada. Endless in its dimensions, untamed in its spirit, curious in its isolation, to Laurelle it is this and more. It is the stuff of passion, of creation, of timeless inspiration. Macys relationship with the land and its people is a seasoned one. Raised in a series of bush camps, Indian reservations and boom towns in Canadas North West Territories, Macy understood early on, that her paintings could act as windows to a world little seen by others, but well known and loved by her. Laurelle first obtained her Associates in Adverting Design. She worked as a graphic designer before moving on to get her Bachelors in art at Brigham Young University. After returning to the north Laurelle enjoyed success in a number of galleries, festival and commissions. Her and her family moved to Utah where she completed her masters degree at the University of Idaho and has been actively involved in advanced design education at the college level. Laurelles major talent lies in her portrayal of what she calls living material. The centerpieces of her artwork are native people, landscapes, and wildlife, all arrestingly alive in her paintings. Macys refinement of detail is engaging and her love of color apparent, at times immediate and aggressive, at others subtle and leading. Macy experience with color and composition seems to reflect the very personality of her subjects. To see her paintings and feel somehow touched by an open genuine spirit. This singular connection between the viewer and the subject is Macys desire. To paint the west, its people, animals and its landscape with compassion and insight, she hopes is her success. Laurelle Macys work has been shown in galleries across Northern Canada and in select studios in Utah. In addition to her work, Macy is faculty a national art institute, has illustrated childrens books, portrait painter and is a 3 time grant recipient celebrating northern native people. Her diverse career, where she worked along side Dene Nation elders and Inuit carvers, to the cutting edge world of graphic design gives her tremendous understanding and perspective. An artist of unquestionable talent with yet untapped potential. Macy is certainly someone to watch for. MARJORIE REED 1915-1997 Early California Arizona Western Impressionist
Born in Springfield, Illinois in 1915, she grew up in Los Angeles where her father, Walter Reed, was an illustrator for Walt Disney. After graduating from high school she attended Chouinart Art School and the Art Center school in Los Angeles. Yet she credited her most important formal training to well known California landscape artist Jack WilkInson Smith. Reed claimed to have moved over eighty times in her life, spending most of her years in Arizona and Southern California. Her longest stay in one place was spent in the Tombstone area where she used to own and operate the Adobe Gallery in the 1960’s and 70’s. Marjorie Reed died while raking leaves a few days after Thanksgiving in 1996 at Campbell Ranch in Vallecito, California. This is a large painting of Jerusalem painted by Reed on her visit to the Holy Land in the 80’s. It is from Mt. Of Olives looking down towards the ancient walled city. A nicely done shepherd with his donkey and sheep & below is the Russian church above Gethsemane. It is a 24″x 48″ oil on canvas signed lower right and title labeled on the back by Reed herself. The painting is in a liner with a wide gold frame ready for you to hang and enjoy. Add me to your favorite sellers. This is an extra-fine original signed landscape oil painting on a professionally prepared wood panel in size 8″x10″. The painting is signed by the artist Max Cole. This warm, moody, and luminous original oil painting was painted using Old Master’s techniques to give you a glowing, colorful, and rich visual experience. Although this original oil painting is recently painted, many antique and vintage collectors appreciate them for their “old world” style. My paintings fit any home décor including craftsman, modern, colonial, ranch and anything in between. High quality heirloom grade oil paintings never go out of style. They remain fresh and vibrant and are visual proof of your refined artistic taste. You will get many compliments from friends and family hanging this oil painting on your wall. Ultra High quality. Painting is on professionally prepared wood panel. 100% conceived and created in the USA by Max Cole. Larger sizes and similar paintings available via commission. All rights including photographic are reserved. SIZE: 8″x10″ Oil painting on wood panel. Important message from the artist. LIGHTING: I photograph my paintings using professional quality true day light bulbs. CRI measures how close a particular bulb comes to producing true noon day sunlight. Noon day sunlight is rated at CRI of 100. All fine art paintings change drastically according to the quality and amount of light that strikes them. Proper lighting is vital to enjoying your art at its highest potential. All paintings reflect light rather that emitting light. What this means is you need sufficient light (and preferably a high CRI) to really make them glow. They become subdued, dull, and dark. Lighting is so important that the very first thing that museums and art galleries do when building new facilities is design the lighting systems. Everything else is subordinate to the lighting design. Fortunately, it’s now very easy and economical to properly light your paintings at home. There are many great options to properly light your new Max Cole Original. Some attach to the frame while others are “accent up lights”. All are easy to install and use. You can get hard wired models or battery powered models, whichever is right for you. No matter what you use to light your painting, try to get bulbs that have the highest CRI possible. A CRI of 90 or above is best. These types of bulbs are called Full Spectrum bulbs. A CRI of 93+ is ideal and will perfectly match the light I use in my studio. You will see your painting exactly as I intended it to be seen and it will absolutely GLOW! Once you see one of my paintings properly lit, you will be hooked! If you cant obtain ideal lighting, concentrate on achieving a high QUANTITY of light even if the CRI is not perfect. Some will place their painting above a regular table lamp. High CRI bulbs for your table lamps are widely available on the internet. To get a glimpse of the power of proper light on paintings, take one of my paintings outside and look at it in the sun. You won’t believe the difference. FRAMING: My paintings are designed to be displayed framed. Framing your new painting will change it dramatically for the good while also protecting it. Try to pick out a frame that is either washed gold or black with a gold liner. The designs I use tend to be simple but high quality frames with some low key carvings. I have found these types of frames to really enhance my work. When properly lit and framed, you won’t believe how your new painting will transform into something special. I’m always here to assist you with framing. Ask me what frames I stock and I will frame your new painting so it arrives ready to hang. This is only temporary until things return to normal. Thank you for your understanding. Enjoy your new painting! The item “Oil Painting Landscape Signed Western Vintage Impressionist Moon Cloud MAX COLE” is in sale since Thursday, August 1, 2019. Se e Jeff’s inclusion in the. By the Red Rusted Roof. Medium: Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas. Finishing: Wired and Ready to Hang/Archival Varnish. Authenticity: Signed Lower Corner and Back/COA. Artist Biography: Jeff Love Born in 1961 into a farming family from Ohio, Jeff spent his early years with a pasture of sheep, acres of corn and a red prairie barn as his playgrounds. As Jeff watched his grandfather shepherd a flock of sheep or harvest a field of corn, a love for nature grew. Art was always of interest to Jeff and the two seemed to go together well. A move to Colorado during his early teen years brought about a new love to build his growing interest in art on § The Rocky Mountains. Excelling in art in school, a high school teacher recognized that Jeff needed to go farther and encouraged him to take college courses while in high school at an art school in Colorado Springs where he explored various mediums and styles. After high school, Jeff studied art in college in Kansas City, Kansas, furthering his skills which led to an award in watercolor and representation in a gallery show. After college, Jeff felt a call on his life to a career in ministry and has spent many fulfilling years helping others discover their unique giftedness and purpose in life. Ministry has taken Jeff to Colorado, Nebraska, West Texas, and Arizona, where he now lives. During these years, Jeff focused his continuing education in ministerial studies, painting mostly for enjoyment and as an outlet. Finally, in 2007, Jeff recognized that an important part of his own life-purpose was creating and painting. Jeff is a firm believer and has taught countless many that it is never too late to become the best that God intends you to be. Actively pursuing painting with the inspiration and encouragement of instruction from some of his favorite artists, Jeff’s medium of choice is oil in which he has dedicated himself to exploring the Arizona landscape both en plein air and in the studio. Jeff loves to teach, paint and study art, wander the wilderness looking for just the right light, and his paintings are often inspired from some remote mountain location in the high desert of Southern Arizona.
