“Evening Storms” 16×20 Original Acrylic Painting. This is an ORIGINAL one of a kind acrylic landscape painting by myself, professional artist Chuck Black. Materials: acrylic paint on stretched canvas, 1.5 inches thick. I could watch storms on the horizon forever. I love seeing those brilliant colored clouds just before dusk. This deep profile canvas does not require framing. The edges are black which makes for a very elegant and modern look when hung on the wall. Everything is ready to hang right out of the box! The back of the painting. This painting was done with the highest quality archival material. This painting will last the ages! Not Framed, but could be hung with a nail using the wire already installed. EXAMPLE of a Certificate. (included with every painting). Thank you so much for stopping by. As you probably already know my name is Chuck Black. I’m an oil painter and I currently reside in Bozeman, MT. Above all I love everything outdoors. I’m a wildlife conservationist at heart. My passion is everything about the outdoors and art is just a way I can express that. Im set out to capture the outdoor lifestyle that I’ve lived for 29 years my age! If you would like to know a little more about myself then feel free to visit my website. To follow me and my work. Growing up along the countryside of Minnesota and Wisconsin provided me with a passion for the outdoors ever since I can remember. What I remember most is I was always trying to capture my time spent outside on paper. I’ve always loved to draw, but somewhere in my heart I knew that wildlife was what I really wanted to do. I received my bachelors degree in wildlife biology from the University of North Dakota. I worked for six years as a wildlife professional for Theodore Roosevelt National Park, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the Minnesota DNR. Over this time I’ve had the honor of gracing both the 2013 Colorado duck stamp as well as the 2015 California duck stamp with my paintings. My art is now displayed in hundreds of private collections around the world. Since relocating to Montana I’ve now taken my art full-time. I hope to grow as an artist in the coming years as I continue to be inspired on a daily basis by the beauty of Big Sky Country. I’ve loved exploring the rural areas of my country over the years. We have so many wonderful communities with extraordinary amounts of scenic countryside where the wildlife thrives. Sharing these times with my close friends and family has created memories that will last my lifetime. It’s these memories that inspire me to create. Life itself is beautiful. I want my art to reflect that inspiration and connect with those who share that similar love. The idea behind Wildlife and Art is to use my artwork to fund my efforts towards a better environment. I believe a great place to start is with our youth. I’ve been collaborating with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to come visit with their local school districts. I think it’d be great to get actively involved in our school system to get more kids excited about the outdoors, conservation, and our Federal Junior Duck Stamp program. Imagine if we could have dozens of more kids in each school who shared a similar love for wildlife conservation. Think of the impact that could have for the future of our natural resources. I want to use my wildlife artwork to fund my efforts for a better environment and more awareness towards what we can all do. So many in our country and our world have become disconnected from the natural environment and something needs to start changing right now. Each time I make a visit I’m overwhelmed by how engaged and enthusiastic the kids are. Watching how excited they become over the art and the wildlife excites me even more. I’m often reminded of myself when I was their age which inspires me to work even harder as an artist and a conservationist. This enthusiasm makes me realize how important it is to expose our youth to conservation and the outdoors. Artwork can be such a vital tool in this regard as it often can hold so much power. I’m beginning to add a couple more visits each year to my schedule and I hope that I’m able to expand this nationwide in the near future. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for your support in my work. If you have any questions at all about this drawing, please do not hesitate to ask! The copyrights of this painting are reserved by the artist, Chuck Black. The purchaser, under no circumstances is allowed to reproduce this image in any way. If you received the painting and it is damaged, then take pictures of the painting and the package and send them to myself, Chuck Black. I don’t know a thing about original paintings. You art experts can determine the value. Once its gone, its gone forever! Please do not confuse my low starting prices with quality! Thanks for looking and I hope youre a WINNER!!!!!!!! This came out of a estate sale years ago from a fancy part of town in the Mpls/St. Paul area of Minnesota. It is stretched on the frame. Measures 8″ by 10″. On the back there is a tag that says: Moshe Katz, an Israeli citizen, studied art at the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem, as well as at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. He reeived second prize in the Israeli Group Artist show in Haifa in 1959. Exhibits featuring the paintings of the young artist in the United States have taken place in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Winnetka. Moshe was born March 2, 1937. I did read his hero’s were Picasso, Cezanne, and Gaugin. Here’s is some info I found on the net: Morris Katz From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Morris Katz Born Moshe Katz 5 March 1932 Galicia, Poland Died 12 November 2010 (aged 78) Bronx, New York Nationality American Other names Moshe Katz Occupation Painter Known for Fastest Toilet Paper Painter Morris Katz (born Moshe Katz on March 5, 1932 November 12, 2010) was a Polish-American painter. He holds two Guinness World Records as the world’s fastest painter and the world’s most prolific artist. He has also been called the “King of Schlock Art” and the “King of Toilet Paper Art” because of a novel means of painting he developed using a palette knife and toilet tissue instead of a paintbrush. [1] Contents 1 Early life2 Instant Art3 Death4 References5 External links Early lifeKatz was born in 1932 in Galicia, Poland. [2] At age 13 he studied under Dr. Hans Fokler of the Munich Academy. [1][2] After World War II, he lived for a while in a displaced persons camp, where he earned a diploma in carpentry, and he said later that toilet paper was his diploma in art. [1] He moved to the United States in 1949, when he took a job in carpentry while maintaining a sideline with his art. [1] While working on his unpublished Dictionary of Color in 1956, he decided to try painting with his palette knife instead of his brushes. [1] After some time he also began experimenting with the use of rags; when he ran out of rags he turned to toilet tissue. [1] As of February 2007, over his career he had painted more than 280,000 paintings. [3] Over his long career, he established himself as a painter, comedian and television personality. [1][4] An obituary [5] described him as creating’instant art’ and entertaining generations of guests in the old Borscht Belt hotels. Instant ArtKatz described his method as “Instant Art, “[6] as he completed entire paintings in as little as 30 seconds. [8] He is listed as a human oddity in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not because of his ability to paint full works of art in less than five minutes. [3] A 2003 review of a serious painting [9] said Normally this artist’s works are notable only for their carefree and speedy execution, but this painting is a welcome exception. DeathKatz died on November 12, 2010 after suffering a stroke. References Salzberg, Charles (Nov 13, 1978). “The King of Toilet Paper Art”. Modigliani was famous during his lifetime, having exhibited internationally in Paris, London, Zurich and New York, and being written about by the leading writers and art critics of his time. Along with Matisse and Picasso, Modigliani incorporated elements of African art into his paintings, thereby revolutionizing Western art. Modigliani was an exceptional colorist who created a rich, distinctive palette that is seen to advantage in his many portraits. The influence of African masks is evident in Modiglianis facial portrayals: the long oval shape of head, blank eyes, long nose, button mouth and extended neck. The often used elongated form and frontal pose give the portrait a hieratic presence of a totem. On Modiglianis obsession with representing the human figure, Lipchitz explained: He could never forget his interest in people, and he painted them, so to say, with abandon, urged on by the intensity of his feeling and vision. As the writer Jean Cocteau wrote, He reduced us all to his type, to the vision within, and he usually preferred to paint faces conforming to the physiognomy he requiredfor Modiglianis portraits, even his self-portraits, are not the reflection of his external observation, but of his internal vision. A portrait of refined elegance and graceful femininity, depicts a beautiful woman, dark-featured possibly a loyal companion and ardent supporter of the artist. With her long, stylised oval face and exaggerated, swan-like neck, this portrait perfectly exemplifies artists mature style; a work of calligraphic elegance that captures the innate beauty and poise for which the artists sitters were renowned. At once highly individualised yet conforming completely to Modiglianis quintessential female “type”the long neck and oval face, large eyes and small, pursed lipsthis painting epitomises the artists extraordinary ability to balance the generic with the unique, the abstract with the naturalistic, and capture the very essence of the figure seated in front of him, or as the poet and friend of the artist, Max Jacob described, “the splendour of the soul” M. Jacob quoted in ibid. The item “Rare Antique Original oil, painting, on canvas signed Amedeo Modiglian w COA” is in sale since Sunday, February 19, 2017. This artwork was acquired in a folio of paintings and drawings from Germany, the artwork is accompanied with registration certificate at National Fine Arts Registry, with a letter of description, COA, with transfer of ownership letter and transfer of registration certificate to the new owner, artwork is currently presented and described as in manner of the artist, as is, as was acquired. An iconic Expressionist image, will enhance any interior or serious art collection. Egon Schiele was a famous Austrian painter, famous for being influenced by the works of Gustav Klimt and pioneering into the art of expressionism. Despite Egon Schiele’s short life, the artist produced an astonishing number of works on canvas and paper. He was instrumental in formulating the character of early twentieth-century Expressionism, characterized by the use of irregular contours, an often somber palette, and frequently dark symbolism. He is still remembered for his outrageously bold and sexual drawings, the portraits of nude models and himself. The sexual undertone in his work was highly criticized during his time, was called vulgar and grotesque but today they are considered as masterpieces. Schiele’s aesthetic greatly influenced both Expressionist contemporaries like Oskar Kokoschka, as well as Neo-Expressionist successors as varied as Francis Bacon, Julian Schnabel, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Unlike his mentor, Klimt, with whom Schiele’s name remains most commonly associated, he produced a great number of self-portraits, suggesting a preoccupation with the self on a par with the likes of Picasso. Schiele’s self-portraits are extraordinary not only for the frequency with which the artist depicted himself, but for the manner in which he did so: eroticized depictions where he often appears in the nude, in highly revealing posesmale self-portraits virtually unparalleled in the history of Western art. For more details and condition of the artwork please view the images. Cubism, the watershed style invented by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, created a new and ambiguous relationship between three-dimensional form and the flat surface of the canvas. In austere, monochrome paintings, Picasso dissolved the language of pictorial representation into its basic elements of line, light, and shade, creating a subtly shifting grid that animates the entire canvas. Figures merging with the ground, but never entirely vanishes. Such clues as the hair at top corner and the long face identify his portraits, while the right angles rising up in the background may represent paintings stacked against a studio wall. Picasso had affairs with many women and his different painting styles reveal much about his attitude towards them. Picasso’s work remains, and the legend lives ona tribute to the vitality of the “disquieting” Spaniard with the “sombrepiercing” eyes who superstitiously believed that work would keep him alive. For nearly 80 of his 91 years, Picasso devoted himself to an artistic production that contributed significantly toand paralleled the entire development ofmodern art in the 20th century. I only want to make simple, very simple art, and to be able to do that, I have to re-immerse myself in virgin nature, see no one but savages, live their life, with no other thought in mind but to render, the way a child would, the concepts formed in my brain and to do this with the aid of nothing but the primitive means of art, the only means that are good and true. Gauguin interviewed by Jules Huret, lEcho de Paris, 1891. Gauguin produced works in which the fluidity and expressiveness of the brushstrokes reflect his sense of artistic liberation. His iconic representations of Tahitian women going about their daily lives amidst the splendour of the tropics are amongst the most sensually beautiful images in all of western art, instantly recognisable, and always fused with a voyeuristic eroticism. This picture sings with the intense and highly interpretative palette that marks out the greatest of Gauguin’s pictures from his voyage to Tahiti. During this stay he remained infatuated by the place, and that infatuation suffused his paintings. These took on a new energy after his discovery of a book on the old Polynesian beliefs, which ignited his passion for Tahiti.
