He takes inspiration from childhood books, popular culture and artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Glen Baxter. Bromley focuses on the physical and emotional journey of lifes travels, using the imagery of the. Comic culture to paint vivid, passionate pictures of the spills and thrills of childhood. He centres on the adolescent years where he believes life is at its most intense and its demands are at their strongest. He uses colour and figurative expressionism with nostalgia and the symbolism of Pop Art to hint at the innocence of the young. However, nothing is set in concrete and he leaves his work open to interpretation by the viewer. Even his still life pictures seem to have spontaneous movement. Bromleys nudes portray the female form in contemporary fashion, as seen in the media, and this contrast to his other work serves as a breath of fresh air. He makes use of layering and texturing techniques while employing mediums such as metallic paint and leaf combined with black outlines on bold colours. He says the creation of two such dissimilar themes helps to keep his approach fresh. PAUL KLEE Original STILL LIFE 1940 Oil on Canvas RARE Art WORTH A LOT
Here we have an Original Paul Klee (The Last) Still Life 1940 Private Collection Oil on Canvas Framed Art Painting, 100cm x 80.5cm. I believe that this was framed by the gallery itself and the outer edges of the painting are covered a bit by the frame so Im unable to see a signature and it is sealed on the backside so I do not want to open it up and mess with it as it is very old! It is not directly covered by glass and has what appears to be a canvas edge and the glass is sitting on top of that. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY LISTED FOR MUCH CHEAPER BEFORE I KNEW WHAT I ACTUALLY HAD. MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN! This painting was one of his last before his death in 1940. I have been unable to find an exact one anywhere online and can only find reproductions that are clearly different which makes this a RARE Find. The frame is in decent condition with some scratches/light scuffs and such but otherwise no major imperfections. You dont want to miss out on this! Item comes from smoke free, pet friendly home. VINTAGE original OIL painting on canvas SEASCAPE sail SHIP signed FRAMED 44×32
Original oil on canvas painting. Wonderful painting with great dept to the sea, the waves look three dimensional, you can almost feel the spray of the ocean. The canvas is 24 x 36″ in a 4″ wide gold and green vintage frame with linen liner and gold lip, overall size is 44 x 32. The frame appears to be vintage 1960’s but the canvas appears from the back to be much older. It is signed; Farmington. Excellent condition, some soil on the linen liner, no other damage. The written description is based on my opinion and observation of the item. I do my best, if you have another opinion please feel free to let me know, additional knowledge is always appreciated.
