Art OIL On Canvas Painting MORGAN Signed Original Framed City Scape
Born 19th October 1835, Alfred Morgan trained for four and a half years in Norwich, completing his course in March 1852. This was followed by a further period of study in London. He painted a wide range of subjects throughout his career including still-life, genre, portraits, landscape, historical and scriptural themes. Morgan supplemented his income by giving private tuition and taking on ceiling and other architectural decoration, including work during the redecoration of Warwick Castle after an extensive fire. The Victorian and Albert Museum has sketches of Morgan’s ceiling designs. Frame size = 24.5″ X 20.5″. Artwork size = 20″ X 16″.
