Recently acquired from a fine New York City Estate this beautiful original oil on canvas by noted painter, Julian Barrow. The painting is titled CAHORS, FARMHOUSE, measures 8 1/4 by 10 inches, and is signed in full lower right. There are descriptive gallery labels on verso which date the painting as 1974 and which provide provenance and exhibition history. He is known for his landscapes and paintings of country houses, conversation pieces and interiors. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition many times, and had one man shows regularly at the Fine Art Society in London and at the W M Brady Gallery in New York. He travelled extensively in India, South East Asia, Italy and the USA. His studio was in Tite Street, Chelsea, London in a Victorian building of studios once occupied by Sargent, Whistler and Augustus John.
