English style hunting dogs oil painting…. Gorgeous ornate gilded wood frame. Painting is not signed or dated. 32-1/4″ wide x 28-1/4″ high x 2-1/2 deep. Visible canvas measures 23″x19-1/2″. No damage on the painting/canvas noted. Frame has some surface cracks along the inner decorative border…. See pictures for example and an approx. 2 long split running horizontally on the back of the top frame… Does not affect the integrity of the frame and is also not visible when hang. Karen Jensen (1903) Female pioneer. Blue Foxglove at the artists garden
Dimensions: 23 x 20 inches without frame. 26 x 23 inches with frame. Description: Oil on canvas. Fine impressive view from the artists garden and private residence. Framed in its authentic 20th century salon frame. A certificate of authenticity will be included with this work. Condition: Ready to hang. In good condition with no holes, tears or missing paint. The oil could use a light cleaning, due to the age. The original frame has minor scratches due to the age. Karen Jensen (1903) Female pioneer. Blue Foxglove at the artists garden. Both were unmarried and born in Holbaek, Denmark. She attended the art school of Emil Rannows around the 1920s. The Rannow school were for female artists who wanted to prepare to enter the Royal Art Academy or work with décor for the Royal Copenhagen porcelain company.
