Dimensions: 23 x 20 inches without frame. 26 x 23 inches with frame. Description: Oil on canvas. Fine impressive view from the artists garden and private residence. Framed in its authentic 20th century salon frame. A certificate of authenticity will be included with this work. Condition: Ready to hang. In good condition with no holes, tears or missing paint. The oil could use a light cleaning, due to the age. The original frame has minor scratches due to the age. Karen Jensen (1903) Female pioneer. Blue Foxglove at the artists garden. Both were unmarried and born in Holbaek, Denmark. She attended the art school of Emil Rannows around the 1920s. The Rannow school were for female artists who wanted to prepare to enter the Royal Art Academy or work with décor for the Royal Copenhagen porcelain company. Original Oil On Canvas By George Jensen Winter Sunshine
An original oil on canvas by Toledo, Ohio artist George Jensen, titled “Winter Sunshine”. The dimensions with the frame are 34″ x 29″. The image is 29 1/2″ x 24 1/2″. George Jensen was born in 1878 and died October 4, 1977. He lived in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio but died in Wood County. A painter, as well as an art educator, he taught many students through various regional artists’ clubs as well as in private lessons into his own old age. For 20 years he worked as an illustrator for advertising and art firms in Cleveland and Toledo, with his work appearing in national and industrial magazines. He was an honorary life member of the Toledo Artists Club, and he work was exhibited in the Midwest as well as on the East Coast.
