Vintage 1935 American Oil Painting F. H. FRED DANIELS St. Augustine Florida
Original Oil Painting by American artist, Fred Daniels. Canvas on board measures 10 x 8. Signed and dated 1935 lower left corner. He was known for his waterfront New England scenes, but this is something a bit different as you will see. By the architecture and palm trees. I found a similar building/scene online and have included a photo. It is of the Roman Catholic Cathedral and Plaza in St. I think this may have been his subject. The frame that this was in is not in good condition, so I did remove it. Please let me know if you want me to include it and I will gladly send along. The artistic legacy of Frederick Hamilton Daniels exists not only in the charming views of Martha’s Vineyard that comprise a large portion of his known work, but also through his teaching and writings that guided both students and instructors as well as the general public. Born in Massachusetts in 1872, Daniels attended the Massachusetts Normal Art School from 1889 until 1895, an institution that specialized in the training of art teachers, before moving two years later to Buffalo, New York, where he worked as the Director of Art Education for the city’s public schools. VINTAGE HAITIAN MASTERPIECE PAINTING FAMOUS SAINT LOUIS BLAISE CEREMONY 35×23
Vintage 1972 oil on board 36″ X 23″. Original Haitian art painting for collecting and home or office decoration. Signed : Saint Louis Blaise. Subject: Celebration with people dancing. Stretched (add 2 for frame). Oil on wood board or masonite year 1972. Very rare artwork by this artist. Physical Condition: Good (may show signs of age). Louis Blaise, is a Haitian painter. Born in Cap-Haïtien, Blaise began painting in 1971, studying with Charles Anatole and the Bottex brothers. He moved to Port-au-Prince, where he worked for a time at Galerie Issa. He died at the age of 38 from a rare blood disorder. [1] Blaise’s brothers, Fabolon, Serge Moléon and Andre Blaise (born 1961), are also noted painters. Andre and Serge Moléon are the only surviving members of the Blaise family of painters. Saint-Louis Blaise painted historical scenes, especially scenes from the Haitian Revolution and the reign of Henri Christophe. Later he turned his attention to paintings of exaggeratedly fat members of the Haitian bourgeoise in a manner reminiscent of Botero. But whatever the subject, his attention to detail was unrivalled. Vintage 70s Geometric Shapes Entryway Modern Art Painting Wall Hanging Signed
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a large vintage oil painting done on canvas. Theme: An exterior entryway with geometric shapes. We are uncertain as to the exact age. The previous owners mentioned it was done during the’70s, but that’s all we have to go by. The painting is signed in the lower right-hand corner of the canvas: “Cich” (see photo). It’ll make a great addition to any modern interior setting! 36″ tall x 30″ wide x 0.75 deep. Condition: Good vintage condition with some minor traces of wear. There are areas where it looks like there are very faint moisture marks (see photos). They aren’t bad, and not readily visible when displayed on a wall – they are solely being mentioned for accuracy. We have not done anything in an attempt to clean or treat the canvas, so we’re uncertain as to whether or not they’ll come out. Aside from that, it looks like there is some slight color variance in areas from when the artist created the painting (again, see photos). There are no rips, holes, tears, repairs etc. It displays exceptionally well, and is ready for a new home! Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. 1997 Don “Rusty” Rust Oil Painting Description and Item Information Up for sale is this framed, vintage oil on canvas painting by the well-known American pin-up artist, Donald “Rusty” Rust. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This painting depicts a comely, lingerie-clad woman lounging on a bed. Next to the elegant canopy is a vase of flowers. The canvas measures approximately 30 inches by 24 inches. The gold-finished frame is about 31 7/8 inches by 25 7/8 inches. Unpacked, this painting weighs 3 pounds 14.4 ounces. It would be a fine addition to a collection of art. Identification This circa 1997 oil painting is by Donald Rust (1932-), a listed artist on askART. Per askART, Rust was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is known for paintings and illustrations with subjects such as wildlife, seascapes, still lifes, portraits, and pin-ups. His works are at the Ringling Museum of the Circus in Sarasota, Florida, the Norman Rockwell Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D. Rust has illustrated books for Valkyrie Press, A. Barnes and Company, and World of Yesterday Publications. He has also provided artwork for Reader’s Digest and other magazines.
