This unique piece of art is a one-of-a-kind acrylic painting on canvas. The colorful abstract shapes and spirals are signed by the artist, Magdy Barsoum, making it an original and handmade piece. The artist, MAGDY BARSOUM graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Fine Arts from The School of Architecture in Cairo, Egypt, ranking first in his class. He then taught there for six years. He also worked and studied in several European countries. In 1969 he immigrated to the US, where he continued his education at Cornell University. He worked as an architect for some of the most notable firms in the city of Philadelphia and also taught in the interior design department at Drexel University. In 1977 he established his own firm where he specialized in design concepts and presentations for large projects for government and private developers, including Disney World, Trump Organization, CRDA of Atlantic City, and Resorts International, Inc. To mention a few. Some of the unique waterfront skylines in the US inspired him to design posters of waterfronts and landmarks of major cities: Penn’s Landing, Independence Hall, New York City’s waterfront featuring the World Trade Center Twin Towers, Columbus Ohio, and San Diego’s unique waterfronts. His posters were on display in selected U. In recent years he has been an avid student at the Delaware Art Museum and member of Philadelphia Sketch Club, Main Line Art Center, Wayne (PA) Art Center, and Art League of Alexandria, Virginia. His artistic talents took a turn to oil and acrylic painting of distinctive Egyptian and American scenes. His work has appeared in numerous juried and international exhibitions throughout the East Coast and abroad.
Vintage Geometric Shapes Acrylic Painting Modern Art Wall Hanging Signed Menges
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a framed vintage acrylic geometric shapes painting done on canvas by St. Louis artist, Richard E. Circa’70s /’80s. Colors: Blue, White, Green, Yellow. The painting is initialed in the lower right-hand corner of the canvas by the artist (see photos). There is a wire hanging mechanism on the reverse side of the frame for hanging. It’ll look fantastic in any modern interior setting. Measurements: Including the wooden frame, the item measures 22.75″ high x 18.75″ wide. Condition: Very good condition – no rips, holes, tears, scratches, repairs, etc. Displays very well, and is ready to be enjoyed in a new home! Charles Biederman, Geometric Abstract Shapes, Superbly Balanced, Oil Painting
It is the finely balanced abstract shapes which holds the viewer’s attention along with the contrasts between colored linear lines contrasting with the strong solid shapes. It is an oil painting on canvasboard. It is signed “Ch Biederman” in the upper right corner. The size of the image is 10′ X 16. It is in excellent condition. The outside dimensions of the frame are 25 ½ x 21 ½. It is framed in a grey wood from which has a few dents with a linen and grey wood liner which has been. Decorated with red swirls. I have checked to see that the signature matches other of the artist’s signatures and that the style is similar to other pieces and that the palate is in keeping with other paintings. This is as far as my research goes. There is no Certificate of Authenticity. There is no provenance or background information and the price reflects this aspect. Thank you for looking at my listing.
Vintage 70s Geometric Shapes Entryway Modern Art Painting Wall Hanging Signed
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a large vintage oil painting done on canvas. Theme: An exterior entryway with geometric shapes. We are uncertain as to the exact age. The previous owners mentioned it was done during the’70s, but that’s all we have to go by. The painting is signed in the lower right-hand corner of the canvas: “Cich” (see photo). It’ll make a great addition to any modern interior setting! 36″ tall x 30″ wide x 0.75 deep. Condition: Good vintage condition with some minor traces of wear. There are areas where it looks like there are very faint moisture marks (see photos). They aren’t bad, and not readily visible when displayed on a wall – they are solely being mentioned for accuracy. We have not done anything in an attempt to clean or treat the canvas, so we’re uncertain as to whether or not they’ll come out. Aside from that, it looks like there is some slight color variance in areas from when the artist created the painting (again, see photos).
