19C William Mark Fisher Impressionist Sunset Sheep Original Signed Oil Painting
Beautifully & fluently painted with a vibrant color palette and in good vintage condition. A good example of this highly collectible artists work, indistinctly signed lower left. Painting measures 19″ x 13″ and 24 1/2″ x 18 1/2″in its good gilt gallery frame. Exhibited in London at The Royal Academy 1912. While studying art in Paris, he was heavily influenced by his fellow classmates Monet, Sisley &Renoir. Fisher was considered one of the first artists to have introduced impressionistic style to England, where he was a regular exhibitor at The Royal Academy, eventually showing over one hundred works. HIs works are held in numerous museums, including a large collection in the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Tate Gallery in London. Titled by the artist. “Cubic Euphoria (Blue Day)” , this work is an Original Oil Painting on Stretched Canvas 40″ x30″by Mark Kostabi 1996 from my private collection. THIS PIECE IS LARGE, with exquisite and extensive detailing. It is in good condition with some surface soiling, and a scuff on the top right corner with some paint loss.
