French School Impressionist Landscape Oil Painting signed
Here is a French school oil on canvas, impressionistic view of a farm in the French countryside. The various colors green, yellow and orange would seem to convey autumn. This is a handsome composition. The trees along the lane would seem to convey a breezy, windswept day from the first quarter of the 20thc. The artists signature (indistinguishable) can be found on the lower left corner. The canvas measures 12 by 15 1/2 to sight and 17 by 20 in the gilt, wood composition frame which features a floral vine motif and features a gold leafed inner liner. The paint surface is in excellent condition with the canvas showing some wear in places. A patch has been applied to the upper right of the canvas on the verso. A gorgeous oil painting signed and dated as shown in close up pic. It was beautifully framed with gold gilt wood and a black velvet sort of speak passpartout. Pics 9,10, and 11 show paint loss flaws areas. Pic 12 shows a close up pic example of some gold paint loss located on the wood. The flaws mentioned are minor in my view, meaning they could be an easy retouch, or do nothing about it. Or else a great original painting. The outer frame is about 28″ x 33″ and weighs about and over 7lbs before packaging. The painting is About 24″ x 22″. Thank you and have a great day! Igor Pantuhoff Original Oil on Canvas Painting MCM Big Eyes 17×36 Framed. Beautiful large Original Painting of a pretty full figured redhead. A lot of the paintings youll find by the artist are just portrait paintings or from the waist up. It is a nice size measuring approximately 17 1/2 bye 36 inches Framed, and the viewable image size is approximately 15 1/2 x 33 1/2. It is signed in the lower right hand corner and has an old gallery stamp on the back from a gallery in Laguna Beach California. There are also some other stamps on the back of the canvas with a five digit number. The frame is a little beat up as you can see from the photos with some scratches and dings over the years but overall I would say the painting is in good condition with some minor scratches around the outside of the image. One of the last photos also shows a bit of crazing in the paint right around the area where the stretcher bar meets the canvas outside of the image. Thanks for your interest. Detreville, Listed, Mount Shasta Ca California Plein Air Impressionist River Oil
LISTEDARTIST fine art collection. MOUNT SHASTA river landscape. Early California Plein Air Impressionism. ANTIQUE DETREVILLE, EARLY CALIFORNIA PLEIN AIR IMPRESSIONIST OIL RIVER LANDSCAPE. Beautiful old early Calif CA oil painting. Original antique pie crust frame with partial California framer label verso (see photos). In need of some restoration -frame is chipped at edges and some light restoration to painting is needed (see condition and photos). Signed lower left, “DeTreville”. Piecrust frame, antique California landscape nature scene with river rocks and appears to be lush Northern California forest river in mountain landscape view. In 1892, he moved to California and settled in Stockton where he established a small newspaper called Det’s Magazine. Shortly after 1910, DeTreville moved to San Francisco where, in addition to painting, he worked as a cartoonist for the Park Presidio News. His works were handled locally by Schussler Brothers and Sanborn & Vail, and were also available in his Clement Street studio. The last few years of his life were spent across the bay in Alameda where he died on February 25, 1929. 9×26.75 framed, aprox. MEDIUM: oil on canvas, original antique pie crust frame. CONDITION: In need of cleaning and light frame restoration (see photos). All original as found antique components. Frame has some small chips to edges and cracked off pieces from the pie style frame (see top left edge and various spots of chipping). Old painting is untouched and in need of a professional cleaning and varnish. A couple small scuffs to canvas around the edges and a couple scratch lines (see photos) to the canvas -mostly around the edges from frame rub and age. Consider antique as found, old original condition painting.
