It is an Expressionistic view of a forested bend in a small river. An almost Impasto (technique of laying on paint or pigment thickly so that it stands out from a surface) effect gives this piece its motion and depth. Salmagundi Club exhibition sticker with title and artist is still affixed to the back of the piece. Stunning 2 3/8 Wide Classically carved gold frame is included complementary in this listing. Board measures 9 X 12 and is in Very Good to Excellent condition. Outside measure of the frame is 13 3/8 X 16 3/8 and is in Very Good to Excellent condition.
