The canvas measures approximately 30 inches by 24 inches. The gold-finished frame is about 31 7/8 inches by 25 7/8 inches. Unpacked, this painting weighs 3 pounds 14.4 ounces. It would be a fine addition to a collection of art. Identification This circa 1997 oil painting is by Donald Rust (1932-), a listed artist on askART. Per askART, Rust was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is known for paintings and illustrations with subjects such as wildlife, seascapes, still lifes, portraits, and pin-ups. His works are at the Ringling Museum of the Circus in Sarasota, Florida, the Norman Rockwell Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.
