Bob Norman Ross (1942 – 1995). Bob Norman Ross (1942 – 1995) Triptych Mountain Landscape Three Panel Oil on Canvas 33 x 21 inches (Left & Right Panel Frame) 24 x 12 inches (Left & Right Panel Canvas) 33 x 27 inches (Center Panel Frame) 24 x 18 inches (Center Panel Canvas) Signed: Ross (each canvas) Dated: 1981 Bob Ross Inc. Few artists of the 20th century are as well known, celebrated, and loved by such a large and varied audience period. Thanks to Bobs down to earth loving personality and television show The Joy of Painting which aired on PBS; he was able to reach the entire North American continent as well as Europe. It was not until after his death in 1995 with the rise of the internet that his notoriety truly went global and over the last 20 years has become one of the most iconic artists and television hosts period. Executed in 1981 this is the only triptych that Bob ever painted where when all three canvases are hung together create one large mountain landscape. Fully certified by Anette Kowalski of Bob Ross Inc. Each canvas was issued its own individual COA which has an accompanying hologram sticker attached to the back of each canvas respectively. The larger center panel measures 33 x 27 inches framed with the canvas measuring 24 x 18 inches while the two smaller side panels measure 33 x 21 inches framed while the canvas measures 24 x 12 inches. The condition of the paintings are excellent while the original frames show some minor cosmetic blemishes. Each work is also conveniently signed in the lower corner Ross in red with the date following 1981. Interestingly enough these canvases were painted the same year that Bob Ross had retired from the United States Air Force to pursue his dream of being an artist marking one of his greatest life decisions to pursue the arts professionally. This set of paintings has a truly. This is an incredibly rare opportunity to own a true masterpiece by the legend Bob Ross who is only continuing to become more globally recognized the further we reach into the 21st century. Last year the Smithsonian took a selection of paintings and other related items into their permanent collection for an exhibit in the museum. Vintage California Landscape Oil Painting Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage, unframed acrylic on canvas painting by the California artist, J. Please excuse any glare in the photos. In a realistic style, this landscape painting depicts the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains; there are stately oak trees and cheerful wildflowers with a tree-covered hill beyond. The canvas measures approximately 12 inches by 16 inches. Unpacked, it weighs about 13 ounces. This would be a wonderful addition to a collection of fine art. Identification This painting is by the California artist, J. Hensley, known to most as Ed Hensley. Per the notations verso, this acrylic painting was created in March of 1985. It is titled, Bent Top Oak. Hensley served as President of the Lodi Community Art Center during 1984 and 1985. Condition The painting looks good overall, as shown. It has very light soiling. The edges have very light wear from the previous framing. To the sky area to the right of the bent top oak tree, the canvas has a very small (3/16 inch long) dent with a couple of tiny pinprick holes where light passes through (please see Photo 5). Theodore Gudin (1802-1880) Signed French Marine Oil Canvas Boats Figures Sunset
BARON JEAN ANTOINE THEODORE GUDIN. A very beautiful signed oil on canvas by Theodore Gudin which dates to around 1850 and depicts figures unloading boats on a beach at sunset. The work is signed lower right and in very good original condition. The artist is highly sought after and is considered Frances premier marine painter of the 19th century. Sunset on the Coast. Théodore Gudin, as he is usually known, studied at the École des Beaux-Arts under Girodet-Trioson. He was subsequently influenced by the Romantic School and exhibited at the London Royal Academy. Jacob Hendricus Maris Dutch (1837-1899) Org. Sgnd. Oil/Canvas 1875 On The Maas
A must have for the avid Dutch Art collector! Created while residing at the Hague, Maris became a strong landscape painter painting rivers and landscapes with mills and towpaths. His stroke became broader and larger and his use of color became more subdued and directed towards portraying the atmospheric depiction of clouds. His style of painting has been compared to the seventeenth-century painters Jan Van Goyen, Jacob Van Ruisdael and Johannes Vermeer. Titled: “On The Maas”.
