Vintage 1935 American Oil Painting F. H. FRED DANIELS St. Augustine Florida
Original Oil Painting by American artist, Fred Daniels. Canvas on board measures 10 x 8. Signed and dated 1935 lower left corner. He was known for his waterfront New England scenes, but this is something a bit different as you will see. By the architecture and palm trees. I found a similar building/scene online and have included a photo. It is of the Roman Catholic Cathedral and Plaza in St. I think this may have been his subject. The frame that this was in is not in good condition, so I did remove it. Please let me know if you want me to include it and I will gladly send along. The artistic legacy of Frederick Hamilton Daniels exists not only in the charming views of Martha’s Vineyard that comprise a large portion of his known work, but also through his teaching and writings that guided both students and instructors as well as the general public. Born in Massachusetts in 1872, Daniels attended the Massachusetts Normal Art School from 1889 until 1895, an institution that specialized in the training of art teachers, before moving two years later to Buffalo, New York, where he worked as the Director of Art Education for the city’s public schools. I’m sorry, but I do not end auctions early. I let them run their course. Thank you for your understanding. I gladly welcome any questions you may have. If you need more time, please let me know within the 3 days. Do not pay until you receive the updated invoice please! Most of my items come from my own collections. If I know an item’s history I will gladly pass it along. I do my best to describe the items, but I strongly suggest closely viewing all photos to ensure the item is what you are expecting. Please send me any questions you may have. This item is in the category “Art\Paintings”. The seller is “suncountryvintage” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped worldwide.

Ronit D. Appel Jewish American Israeli Artist Original Acrylic Painting
Original Framed Acrylic on Canvas Painting by American/Israeli Artist Ronit D. This painting, depicting a Jewish family walking home on Friday evening as the Shabbat candles burn brightly in the windows of the homes, is set in the Yemin Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem, right outside the Old City of Jerusalem. The title of the painting is a verse in the Lecha Dodi prayer, a prayer sung in synagogues on Friday evening to welcome the Shabbat. The verse refers to Jerusalem as a King’s sanctuary, a city of royalty. Size: Approximately 22 1/2 x 18 1/2 inches (with frame). Approximately 16 x 12 inches (unframed). The painting is signed in Hebrew and in English on the front and back of the painting. It is titled on the back of the painting. Born in 1986 and raised in an Orthodox Jewish family in New York, Appel’s connection to Israel blossomed when she visited Israel for the first time at the age of 11. Since then, Israel became the focal point of Appel’s life and at the young age of 17, she immigrated to Israel, where she studied Law and Government in Hebrew, mastering the language in a short period of time. Appel did what many would have thought impossible, earning a highly-coveted position as a member of the school’s Law Review and graduating with honors, near the top of her class. In 2013, Appel’s law career was derailed when she was abruptly terminated from a NYC law firm she had worked at for years after refusing to cooperate with corruption at the firm. That incident was a pivotal moment in Appel’s life. Though what should have been a brilliant career as a lawyer was derailed, Appel was propelled to new horizons. A great admirer of both Jewish/Israeli art and art of the Arab world, in July of 2013, Appel opened a fine art gallery in Manhattan specializing primarily in Jewish and Israeli art and art of the Arab world. The following year, a local publication described Appel as a NYC Renaissance woman. In 2018, Appel began creating her own art and within just a few years her beautiful paintings could already be found in collections throughout the United States. Like many great artists, Appel’s past is rife with tragedy. But Appel’s art is a story of triumph and of light. It is the story of the city of Jerusalem. This painting is offered for sale. Ine art gallery in New York, NY. This item is in the category “Art\Paintings”. The seller is “ronitdappel” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
