Sun Goddess original dimensional painting on canvas Original Art by Deborah Bowe
Original Painting on Canvas “Raet”. A tribute Bas Relief portrait original painting by Artist Deborah Bowe. Original painting inspired by Raet Tawy, an ancient Egyptian Goddess. She was a solar goddess and described as the female aspect of the sun-god Ra. Her name is formed from his name and the longer version of her name (Raettawy) or Raet-Tawy means “Raet of the Two Lands” in reference to the unified lands of Upper and Lower Egypt. She was also considered the goddess of fertility. Fine Acrylics paint, dimensional paints, Pigments, Plaster on a Gallery Wrapped Canvas (it does not require to be framed). The process to create this painting is a lengthy one which consists in several steps, for each original painting it takes me from 4 to 8 weeks of work depending on the size of the canvas. Several applications of different art mediums are employed and only the finest art supplies are used to bring my Original Portraits Paintings to life. The edges have been painted also. Varnished with anti UV light and archival coating for longevity and protection. Signed and dated in the back. Sealed for longevity and protection. My creations are created in a temperature controlled – smoke free Art Studio. Please note that other props in the phots are not included with this listing and they are for representation only. As a multidisciplinary artist I create in different mediums. Various techniques and mediums are regularly employed to bring to life my creations in my Art Studio.
Hand Painted Green Tara Mother Goddess Tibetan Thangka Painting With Silk Border
This is an original GREEN TARA Thangka, that is written on a canvas using natural colors. This thangka comes with beautiful silk brocade or applique. The Green Tara is believed to be a spiritual concert of Amogasiddi Buddha. In the Buddhist tradition, Tara is believed to be good woman that brings all good fortune and prosperity. Size with the Silk Brocade: 24 x 34-inches (61 cm x 86 cm). Size of Painting : 11-inch x 14.5-inch (28 cm x 37 cm). The thangka is not a flat creation like an oil painting or acrylic painting but consists of a complex subject. Generally, thangkas last a very long time and retain much of their luster, but because of their delicate nature, they have to be kept in dry places where moisture won’t affect the quality of the painting. The Thangkas serve as important teaching tools depicting the life of the Buddha, various influential lamas and other deities and Bodhisattvas. The Thangka, when created properly, perform several different functions. Images of deities can be used as teaching tools when depicting the life (or lives) of the Buddha, describing historical events concerning important Lamas, or retelling myths associated with other deities. The Devotional images act as the centerpiece during a ritual or ceremony and are often used as mediums through which one can offer prayers or make requests.
