Collectible Haitian Art Painting Famous Andre Blaise Fishes Reefs Haiti 15×15
ORIGINAL HAITIAN FINE ART. Original Haitian Art for Collecting and or Home and Office Decoration. Subject: Fish Promenade – Size 15? Oil on canvas (Silver framed add 1). Original Haitian Fine Art for Collecting and or Home and Office Decoration. Andre Blaise, born in Cap Haitian in January 1961, is the youngest of the four Blaise brothers, all of whom are well-known painters. Their mother was a produce vendor and their father was a mechanic. Unfortunately, Andre Blaise and Serge Moléon Blaise (the oldest) are currently the only two surviving brothers. Growing up in the Blaise Atelier, he began painting at the age of 12. Though Blaise paints stunning mystical landscapes, some of his most distinctive works have showcased something rather different – fish. He portrays his fish with human characteristics, great humor, and technical virtuosity. Andre Blaise’s paintings have been very well received in the art market and have become highly sought-after works for collectors in Haiti, France, and the U. Blaise has two children and lives in Port-au-Prince. All major credit cards. This item is in the category “Art\Paintings”. The seller is “beauxartsgallery” and is located in this country: US. VINTAGE HAITIAN MASTERPIECE PAINTING FAMOUS SAINT LOUIS BLAISE CEREMONY 35×23
Vintage 1972 oil on board 36″ X 23″. Original Haitian art painting for collecting and home or office decoration. Signed : Saint Louis Blaise. Subject: Celebration with people dancing. Stretched (add 2 for frame). Oil on wood board or masonite year 1972. Very rare artwork by this artist. Physical Condition: Good (may show signs of age). Louis Blaise, is a Haitian painter. Born in Cap-Haïtien, Blaise began painting in 1971, studying with Charles Anatole and the Bottex brothers. He moved to Port-au-Prince, where he worked for a time at Galerie Issa. He died at the age of 38 from a rare blood disorder. [1] Blaise’s brothers, Fabolon, Serge Moléon and Andre Blaise (born 1961), are also noted painters. Andre and Serge Moléon are the only surviving members of the Blaise family of painters. Saint-Louis Blaise painted historical scenes, especially scenes from the Haitian Revolution and the reign of Henri Christophe. Later he turned his attention to paintings of exaggeratedly fat members of the Haitian bourgeoise in a manner reminiscent of Botero. But whatever the subject, his attention to detail was unrivalled. His works are widely collected and are particularly popular in France, where they have been exhibited in Paris. All major credit cards. This item is in the category “Art\Paintings”. 1962 HAITIAN RAOUL DuPOUX SIGNED HARBOR SCENE ORIGINAL OIL on CANVAS N/R
1962 Haitian Artist Raoul Dupoux Signed & Dated this truly masterful Harbor Scene. Original Oil on stretched canvas. Simple subject and composition but very nuanced. The water, the sky, the sails, the boat hulls, everything shimmers with gentle motion. Reminds one of the fabulous Early and Mid 20th Century New England Harbor scenes. I would say Rustic meets French School, stylewise. Canvas measures 24 X 32 and is in Good to Very good condition. He started designing at the age of seven, while in school, with the guidance of his mother, a watercolor artist. He then used oils with his uncle, Alain Clerir, an artist and a great Haitian music composer. He then studied at the Universal School of Paris. A religious man, Dupoux joined the Congregation of Brothers of Christian Instructions where he spent seven years. He continued his studies in art with the famous religious artist Marcel George. Dupoux was obliged to leave the institute when his father became ill. When the Centre d’Art found out about his talent, they called him to have an exhibit with Maurice Borno. Other exhibitions abroad received acclamation for his watercolors and his pen and ink drawings. Immediately after, Professor Montagutelli called upon Dupoux to offer him the position of professor at the Academie des Beaux Arts. Dupoux died in Port-au-Prince on January 25, 1988.
