Vtg Original Signed Oil On Canvas Heavy Relief “Woman Reading” Framed Art. This an absolutely amazing original framed art painting, oil on canvas. The subject is a pretty woman lying on her stomach, her hands outstretched in front of her as she reads a book. She is wearing a beautiful red dress, her blonde hair is styled, and her facial features are intricately-detailed. The wow factor of this original artwork is the technique and talent of the artist. Usually on an original oil on canvas piece, you can kind of tell that it’s original because of the slight lift due to the brush strokes. But on this particular original, it is blatantly obvious that this was hand-crafted by the artist. This is because some of the strokes were laid with more intention, more paint added to the canvas, therefore giving this piece the raised-relief texture and look. The variations in the gold and darker strokes on the background are complemented by the lovely hand-painting of the woman reading. The frame on this art is surprisingly well-paired with the art it encompasses. It is black wood with splashes of red paint, it’s faceted and etched, and there is twisted gold painted wood at the center where the painting begins. There are a few very tiny nicks in the wood, but overall, this is in excellent condition. There is no damage to this painting. This measures 25.5″ L x 21.75″ H.
