A very rare Original OIL PAINTING by Thomas Kinkade. The painting depicts a beautiful scene from Yosemite National Park. It was painted in 1989. Plein air (open air) work, done on location at Yosemite. Thom was drawn to Yosemite. He painted there a number of times. Kinkade wrote the following words about painting at Yosemite: There are few places on Earth that are more awe-inspiring than Yosemite Valley nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Home of the undisputed King of the valley is “El Capitan”, an exposed rock face of unmatched size that serves as silent sentinel presiding over the majesty of Yosemite’s other natural wonders. You hear Him in the rustle of the wind in the trees… Taste, smell and feel Him in the fragrance of flowers and in the sweet air and water found in the cathedral of the wild. As an artist, Kinkade is famous for the luminescent light that he demonstrated in his paintings of cottages, churches, and gardens. However, the art world is now considering his early work of the American West and his landscapes as some of his best and most. This beautiful painting is an masterpiece and represents great care and attention by the artist, Thomas Kinkade. Retail Kinkade affiliated galleries would be asking several times what we are for this piece. This is your chance to add an authentic original Kinkade painting to your collection. We accept credit cards through Pay Pal or a cashier’s check. Personal checks also accepted but require time to clear the bank. Was born in 1958 and grew up in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. From the age of four, his calling as an artist was evident, and by 16 he was an accomplished painter in oil under the apprenticeship of the well-known artist Glen Wessels. After studies at the University of California at Berkeley, and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, Kinkade began work for the motion picture industry at age 22. He personally created over 600 background paintings for the animated feature film, Fire and Ice. This intensive period of work for the movie business may well have been the genesis of Kinkade’s mastery of pictorial lighting effects. In 1983, Thomas Kinkade left the film industry to pursue his vision as painter of light-filled landscapes. Since then his career has been documented in feature articles and/or editorial exposure in such well-known magazines Architectural Digest, American Artist, Collector’s Mart Magazine, Collector Editions, Lively Arts and Leisure, Worldwide Challenge, US Art, Southwest Art, and Weekend. He is a regular guest on radio talk shows and and has made a guest appearance on ABC’s popular network show, “Home”, starring Gary Collins. Kinkade’s impressive list of honors includes: two Certificates of Merit from the New York Society of Illustrators, two Founder’s Awards from the National Parks Academy for the Arts (the first artist ever to receive this award twice), a two-man show at the C. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana, over 10 one-man shows, and countless personal appearances. Furthermore, Kinkade was chosen as the official artist for the 1989 National Park’s Collector’s Print and the 1990 Commemorative Press Collector’s Print honoring Rotary International. Also in 1991 he won “Plate of the Show” in Southbend, Best New Artist of The Year for NALED in 1992, Collector “Award of Excellence” in 1993 and Lithograph of the year for NALED was named second runner-up for Lithograph of the year for NALED and first runner-up for Artist of the Year. He was also chosen to be the official artist for the lighting of the National Christmas Tree at the White House and was the appointed artist for the Olympics. Mr Kinkade died on April 7, 2012. Paul Thomas Scarlet, Original Oil Painting on Canvas, 48 x 36, signed, nautical
Original Oil Painting on Canvas Comes with Certificate of Authenticity and Appraisal. Dimensions: 48″W x 36″H. Art Leaders Gallery is an Authorized Paul Thomas Dealer. All artwork is packaged according to UPS guidelines. Was born in Korea in 1955. He became interested in art while attending school. One day in his youth, he received a portrait from a street artist and became inspired. Then he devoted himself to learning portrait painting and developing his own unique style while painting original oils on canvas. After much practice, Thomas found his ultimate inspiration in bodies of water, useing his own method of pointillism to create beautiful nautical scenes. Thomas has developed his style using pointillism, which experiments with scientifically juxtaposed dots of pure color, intended to combine and blend in the viewer’s eye rather than on the canvas itself. In an ironic way that is the beauty of art, Thomas work uses saturated vibrant colors to create a soothing scene filled with muted tones. Thomas Kinkade original oil on canvas Wet Season (Not a print) Framed Size 28X34
For sale: a beautiful original oil on canvas on board by Thomas Kinkade. This is not a print or a canvas transfer. This is not a print or reproduction but a genuine, one of a kind, original oil by the Painter of Light. It measures 18 by 24 inches without the 5 inch wide frame. With the frame it measures 28 X 34 inches. The Painting depicts a mountain scene with a humble cabin situated in a grassy field. This is the wet season. Rain is draining from a nearby lake down a stream. Low hanging clouds are seen enveloping the mountains in the background. Smoke is coming from the chimney of the little cabin as perhaps the owner sits by the fire with a good book and a cup of tea. This is a cozy scene where we can all see ourselves spending the day indoors. Wet Season was painted in 1983 and is signed on the lower right by Thomas Kinkade. The signature is exactly what Thomas was using at this phase of his career. This was one of the first major galleries to sell Mr Kinkade’s original work. It is titled “Wet Season”. We have added an expensive hand made nameplate that is done in 23K Gold Leaf. This piece has nice lighting effects, as many Kinkade originals have. We posted a photo of the painting over our fireplace. This photo was taken in the evening with a spot light coming down from the ceiling. We also posted a photo of the edge of the painting. We sometimes get this request because people want to see the paint on the edges to verify that a work is an original and not a print. Let us know if you have any questions. This is a great opportunity to add an original Kinkade to your collection. Authenticity is unconditional guaranteed. This is a great opportunity to save tens of thousands on a beautiful original painting by the deceased and missed Painter of Light, Thomas Kinkade. Medium: Oil on Canvas on Board. Painting Size: 18 X 24 inches. Framed Size: 28 x 34 inches. Signed: Lower Right T. Comes with and Kinkade’s COA on the reverse. Condition: Very Good Condition.
