Picnic in the Park Original Large Oil Painting on Canvas by Dusan Trees Nature
Picnic in the Park. 20 x 16 inches – 50 x 40 cm. Original Painting by Dusan Malobabic. Painted on stretched canvas. The sides are painted black. Signed at the bottom and on the back. Ever since I can remember I have drawn and painted and told people when I grow up I want to be an artist. Reinforced itself when I completed my BA – Fine Art Painting from the Victorian College of the Arts and continues to this day. I hope you enjoy my paintings and thanks for looking. Picnic in the Park’ is a painting done in oils on canvas. In some parts the paint is thickly applied with a palette knife with details delivered by a small fine brush. It depicts a great day in the park with many people gathered standing and talking, eating food, relaxing while sitting or lying down. In the foreground on the green grass starting from the left we see a girl with long brown hair, sitting on a white blanket alone, possible waiting for others who have stepped away for a moment. On the right, sitting on a pinkish coloured blanket is a mother sitting with her son and daughter enjoying lunch and conversation. Behind them is an assortment of people in different poses from standing and sitting, enjoying the moment. In the background surrounding the scene is a thick collection of trees going up to the top of the painting ranging from light to dark green foliage.
