The artist painted this work on July 4, 1977. The painting is in an Impressionist style with beautiful bright blues and greens. On the back of the painting, on the top frame of the canvas, handwritten by the original artist is New Market Gap from New Market on U. 211 July 4, 1977 Norolfk GT” The artist’s name is George, and we believe the last name is “Tusering because of another work we own from this same artist. As one can see the two paintings have similar colors used and compliment each other. The painting with frame measures 31.5″ X 23″ and is professionally framed in a beautiful antique-looking gold-colored frame. Dan Taggert was a prominent psychic and artist in the Tidewater area of Virginia during the 1970’s until 1993. He died in 1993 in Norfolk, VA. He owned and operated a Norfolk art gallery for several years in the 1970’s and 1980’s. There is no damage to the painting and looks in Great Condition as shown. Comes from a smoke free home.
