My deep passion for his art grew and his works have adorned the walls of all of my homes since. Of course, all pieces come signed and with a with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by David. You are welcome to inspect all pieces when the gallery opens in Adelaide. Please contact me for details. David Bromley Artist Bio. When one artist defines himself as high school drop-out, surf bum, and a lost boy who discovered clay his art couldnt be anything less than charming and honest. First employed art just to help him pacify his overactive mind, but then he fell in love and decided to dedicate his whole life to it. Born in 1960 in Sheffield, England, David Bromley immigrated to Australia with his family in 1964 and emerged as a painter in the mid 1980s. Since then, he has become one of the most recognisable and innovative artists in Australia. Over the past 20 years David’s work has fostered widespread acclaim and notoriety in Australia and internationally. He has exhibited on nearly every continent including Asia, Europe, Africa and America. In his practice, David has developed distinct themes and unique styles of painting; his best known are the nude female portraits and childrens series, but he often explores with various mediums and imagery that portray a certain whimsy. However diverse in his subject matter, David’s work is enduringly figurative, daringly coloured and executed with a graphic intention that is striking and memorable. Davids practice has extended to significant work in sculpture, creating in both bronze and resin to bring to life the characters imbued within his paintings. His work, both in painting and sculpture have become cornerstone pieces for several of the key interior projects undertaken by Bromley & Co in recent years. Born in 1948 outside St. Petersburg Russia, now living in New York City, Yuri Gorbachev, talented and famous around the world, is the brightest star in the constellation of artists who came to America from the former USSR in 1991. Gorbachevs work is represented in more than twenty museums worldwide including the permanent collections of The Russian National Museum, St. Petersburg, The Louvre, Paris, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, The National Ukrainian Museum of Art, Kiev, The Rudana Museum, Bali; his work was also in the Clinton White House and The United Nations for which he designed a United Nations Stamp, Green Parrot on Red Flower, for the Endangered Species series. The first stamp of this series was done fifty five years ago by Salvatore Dali. In 2011, Yuri Gorbachev designed a new label for Stolichnaya Vodka, called Four Elements Previously, From 1994 through 1999 Stolichnaya commissioned him to design their annual Christmas Holiday advertisement, which appeared in hundreds of magazines around the world including Art & Antiques, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Time, W, GQ, Elle among others. In 1998, Rizzoli International, published The Art of Yuri Gorbachev and in 2002, The Bertelsmann Group, published The Art of Paradise, a major book about Yuri Gorbachevs life and art. Yuri Gorbachev, classically trained in Soviet art academies, uses lacquer and glazing techniques in his paintings, , exhibiting his classic training and unique style; black is not part of his palette. Gorbachevs artistic career has flourished in New York City and he has had more than two hundred solo exhibits all over the United States, Europe, South America and Asia.
