Padmasambhava Thangka, Guru Rinpoche Thangka, Guru Thangka
Namaste and Welcome to my Gallery!! All of the paintings and arts in my gallery are originally handmade and hand-painted by my family members and other local artists who have been practicing their craft for over two decades. My father is Master Artists Nepal with an experience of more than four decades; you can see some of his work in this Gallery. Also you can see some of the beautiful and soulful artwork of talented local artists from Himalayas. Guru Rinpoche Thangka Art. Silk brocading is a process of framing a Thangka in traditional Tibetan style. The frame is made of beautiful silk fabric having rich colors and patterns. The silk fabric protects the edges of the Thangka, and also makes it easier to hang. A thin silk cover protects the painting when rolled, and may be gathered up to display the painting when hung on the wall. It is generally thought that silk brocade renders a Thangka more attractive and more religious. Padmasambhava also known as Guru Rinpoche was a tantric Buddhist master born in India and he played a fundamental role in bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the eighth century. Guru Rinpoche is also the founder of the Nyingma school, the oldest of the four major traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. Guru Rinpoche is depicted in his more traditional representation seated in royal posture holding a vajra in his right hand while his left-hand holds a skull-cup containing a vase filled with the nectar of longevity and wisdom. He is worshiped to remove obstacles to worldly or spiritual accomplishments and to avert harm from spirits or non-human entities. [Size = 122cm x 94cm]. Natural Pigments and colors. Excellent for meditation or home/office decor. Tibetan Yoga Wall Art. Genuine 100% hand-painted from Himalayas. Please feel free to contact me if you have any question regarding the painting.

Hand Painted Green Tara Mother Goddess Tibetan Thangka Painting With Silk Border
This is an original GREEN TARA Thangka, that is written on a canvas using natural colors. This thangka comes with beautiful silk brocade or applique. The Green Tara is believed to be a spiritual concert of Amogasiddi Buddha. In the Buddhist tradition, Tara is believed to be good woman that brings all good fortune and prosperity. Size with the Silk Brocade: 24 x 34-inches (61 cm x 86 cm). Size of Painting : 11-inch x 14.5-inch (28 cm x 37 cm). The thangka is not a flat creation like an oil painting or acrylic painting but consists of a complex subject. Generally, thangkas last a very long time and retain much of their luster, but because of their delicate nature, they have to be kept in dry places where moisture won’t affect the quality of the painting. The Thangkas serve as important teaching tools depicting the life of the Buddha, various influential lamas and other deities and Bodhisattvas. The Thangka, when created properly, perform several different functions. Images of deities can be used as teaching tools when depicting the life (or lives) of the Buddha, describing historical events concerning important Lamas, or retelling myths associated with other deities. The Devotional images act as the centerpiece during a ritual or ceremony and are often used as mediums through which one can offer prayers or make requests.
