Carl Dalio ORIGINAL Fine Art Oil Painting 5×7 Cityscape Palms California
Carl Dalio original Fine Art Oil Painting. Cityscape in San Diego. 5″x7″ on Canva Artboard, acid free panel, unframed, varnished. A study of the amazing afternoon light along the Pacific Coast. Here is a ground view looking east with the late afternoon sun lighting up the palms along this street. (5×7 oil on Canva Artboard acid free panel, unframed, varnished). International artist Carl Dalio, AWS, NWS, is a master of bold color and dynamic design. With abundant experience as a successful artist, illustrator, instructor and juror, he continues to honor essential concepts of beauty, design, imagination, passion and simplicity. Accomplished in watercolor, oil and pastel, he has presented painting demonstrations and workshops in the U. Canada, Mexico, Europe and Indonesia. He is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society (served on its Jury of Selection in New York), National Watercolor Society (served on its Jury of Selection in California) and Rocky Mountain Watermedia Society. Carl’s paintings, six-times cover art and numerous articles have appeared in books and publications including American Artist, Artists Magazine, Watercolor Magic and Pastel Journal. His paintings have received awards in national exhibitions and online competitions. In February of 2016, Carl painted in Cuba with fellow artists in Plein Air Magazines historic Publishers Invitational adventure. His Inspirational Painting Videos, available as digital downloads, are available through his official website. For as long as I can remember I have thrived on the stuff of life and imagination, what is seen and accepted and what can be envisioned and embraced each day. I believe in seeing beyond the ordinary and dreaming outside the box. I notice and revere quality and beauty in our world and in how things are made and how things work. I maintain a keen interest in the developing story of the subject or concept that flows toward me. I take pleasure in the world of color, drawing and composition. My paintings reflect this process through careful color mixtures, energetic brushstrokes and fluid spontaneity. I concentrate on concepts of color temperature, luminosity and color vibration. Comments from a Museum Executive Director. I grew up in an art obsessed family! We studied, discussed, debated and collected art from many cultures and many influences. Over the years we amassed a major collection of American Western Art which for a number of years resided with a family foundation of which I was the executive director. During my tenure at the foundation I became acquainted with Carl Dalio, a very talented artist and his work. I discovered that Carls inspiration comes from his living in the American West. His environment defines his color, his creative imagination and his drive for self-expression in many unique ways. I find his approach a very refreshing and valuable take on subject matter that doesnt lack for interest from the world of other artists, collectors, connoisseurs and art academics. Bill Harmsen, former Executive Director, the Harmsen Museum Foundation. Thank you for your interest in my work. Feel free to message me if you need any further information or have requests.
