This is a 1970s Winter Landscape Oil Painting Granville Brook Eleanor Z. Geiger Massachusetts Artist Framed 17.75×14.75. This wonderful and unique original painting depicts Granville Brook (signed on the back). Granville is a small quaint town in Hampden County, Western Massachusetts. This winter landscape features placid Granville Brook, snow covered rocks, birch trees, and New England winter sky. The artist signed the painting to the lower right corner and to the back. Smoke and pet free home. Framed size: 17.75 x 14.75 x 2.25 inches; painting size 14 x 11 inches. In excellent vibrant condition with no holes, rips or tears to the canvas. Solid wood frame ready to hang. Eleanor Ann Zucco Geiger, 97, of Agawam, Massachusetts passed away on December 27th, 2020. A known artist since childhood, winning many prizes during her school years, one of which was first medal awarded by the MA SPCA in a state-wide poster contest. Eleanor was a Patron Member of the Rockport (MA) Art Association, the North Shore Arts Association of Gloucester MA, the Springfield Art League, the Agawam Community Artists, having exhibited in the North Shore and local at shows and one-person shows. Large MCM Hollywood Regency 1970’s Floral Painting by Lee Reynolds Signed
Signed in lower right corner Reynolds. Very nice condition, ready to hang and enjoy. All reasonable offers will be considered and answered. Lee Reynolds Burr (19362017) opened his Vanguard Studios in Beverly Hills, California, in 1964 to make oil paintings an attainable decoration for any American household. With seascapes, nautical scenes, still lifes, bullfights, cowboys, pastoral views, hot-air balloons, horse races and abstractions, there was a Vanguard Studios creation to match any taste and interior. Born in Los Angeles, Burr studied art at the University of Southern California. After graduating and a stint in the U. Army, he worked in a local studio as a painter before becoming a home decor entrepreneur with financial support from his mother. These paintings regularly mirrored art-world trends, such as the Abstract Expressionism of the 1960s, but at prices that were much more affordable than fine art. Burr would start East Park Gallery in 1981 and continue to produce works in a more contemporary style until his retirement in 1998. Signed Original Leo Jansen Nude Oil Painting Vintage 1970’s Playboy Artist
Add this beautiful signed original nude oil on canvas painting by Playboy and celebrity commissioned artist Leo Jansen to your home or collection. 18″ x 24″ and 26″ x 32″ framed. Jansen’s signature is in 3 places on the painting; on the front right bottom corner, as well as a thumb print with signature, and stamped signature on the back of painting. Date 1979 on the back of painting. Series collection #54321 J-80. The painting and frame overall are in very good condition. Minor flaws include small holes in frame which can be repaired easily. Born in the Netherlands, moved to the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia) when he was ten. There in the tropics, he began his craft by sketching bronze-skinned Indonesian girls for leisure. Like most continental artists, he gravitated first to Paris and quickly established himself as a portraitist of considerable talent. In 1962, he arrived in New York. Because of the softness and light he infused his portraits, he was chosen by several companies to do commemorative plates. Jansen is, perhaps, best known throughout the United States and Europe for his mother’s day plates and puppies plate series. Many of the rich and famous such as Raquel Welch, William Holden, Donald Sutherland, Stephanie Powers, and the LA Times Hearst family. In addition, he also gained fame for his portraiture of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. His Beatles portraits are among the more collectible memorabilia by fans. But despite his national reputation as a portrait artist, he refused many of those demand and resumed his childhood love affair of painting nudes. He then moved to Southern California. For eighteen years, he was commissioned by Playboy Magazine to paint the playmate of the month. In his first six years, he was the artist chosen to paint 58 of the 72 portraits. His works hang in the Hugh Hefner’s Playboy corporate headquarters and in the mansion. Ranked among the nation’s best interpretive artist of nudes, Jansen’s canvases hang in collection of a wide range of notables from Jean-Claude Pascal to the late Judy Garland.
