Please see item description. ANTIQUE EXHIBITED Barbizon Landscape Oil Painting MONOGRAM SIGNED 19th Century. “Barbizon River Landscape” Monogram Signed c1870. This is an interesting period Barbizon work that is monogram signed lower left. The frame has an old plaque reading “21”- this suggests the work was part of an exhibition back in the day. Size- 15.75 by 22.5 inches approx including frame, canvas 7 by 14 inches approx. Medium- Oil on canvas. Frame- Antique wooden frame, some knocks and losses, offered free with the painting. Condition- We would be very happy to hang this one as found. There is however a good deal of varnish browning and some old restoration to the sky. Some craqueleur and separation, frame abrasion visible. Signature- Lower left with monogram. Belvoir Fine Art Statement.
