Oil Painting On Canvas Of A Harbor Scene
Oil Painting On Canvas Of A Harbor Scene. This is a large painting of a harbor scene with sailboats. It measures about 30″ wide and 26″ tall. It is signed, but I can’t make out the signature. And I’m not sure of the age either. Both the painting and the frame are in good condition, but I’m sure the painting would benefit from being cleaned.

We use recycled packaging materials whenever possible. Let’s clean our environment by minimizing waste! Let’s cooperate as much as possible in the separation and collection of waste recycling! The most precious property we can pass on to our descendants is a clean planet. This sell is an original oil on canvas, not a print or giclee. The frame is included in this posting. Hoto of the actual painting with frame. A framed oil painting. 14″ x 12″ (Height x Width). 8″ x 10″ (Height x Width). Some Tips When Decorating Pictures on Your Wall. The proper height for hanging pictures is better if the average height of the human eye is at the centerline of the picture or slightly higher. Choose a frame or picture that fits well in the space. For modern office or home decor, it will be good with a gallery wrap stretch or a modern simple frame. But a classic interior house will look good with a classic ornate style frame. When decorating with oil paintings, it’s a good idea to hang two pictures around your field of view. They decorate each other naturally. You also have an idea to decorate the space with several small pictures instead of one big picture. If you want to decorate multiple frames of different sizes and heights on a long wall. It would be good to put the centerline of each picture at the same height, but in some cases, you can match the top or bottom line. We are dedicated to your satisfaction and stand behind our product 100%. Return the item along with all original packaging. Early 20th C Tonalist Oil Painting of a Harbor
This painting is an oil on canvas depiction of a harbor. The full moon has broken through the clouds filtering the light over the horizon. The anchored ships and structures provide silhouettes against the filtered moonlight creating a handsome tonal composition. The canvas would seem to be from the first quarter of the 20th c and is unsigned. The canvas measures 8 by 10 to sight and 14 by 16 in the gilt, wood, composition cove frame. The paint surface is in a particularly good and stable condition. The frame shows some minor losses and some slight areas of discoloration to the inner liner which are consistent with age and use. You do not want to miss the opportunity we are presenting for you to own an authentic work, by the Master of Modern Impressionism, Emile Gruppe. Emile Gruppe- Born in Rochester, New York, Emile Gruppe became a renowned New England landscape and marine painter. Although he is best known for his variety of Impressionistic landscapes, he also painted figures and portraits. His modern style was largely inherited from French Impressionist Claude Monet. “Lily Pads, ” date and location unknown, one of Gruppes landscapes, attests to Monets influence and is similar to some of the paintings in Monets “Water Lily” series. He was the son of landscape artist Charles Paul Gruppe, and was born in 1896 in Rochester, New York. He had a very strong art background. In addition to being raised by an artistic father, he was also educated in art at The Hague in the Netherlands and in New York City at the National Academy of Design and The Arts Students League. He also received instruction from artists George Bridgeman, Charles Chapman, Richard Miller and John F. Carlson, with whom he would later founded, in 1942, the Gruppe Summer School in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He made his permanent studio in Gloucester. His artistic career had begun in 1915, but was briefly interrupted in 1917 when he spent a year in the United States Navy. Gruppe’s prolific career brought him many awards and memberships. His popular painting “Winter, Vermont, ” date and location unknown, won the Richard Mitton Award at the Jordan Marsh Exhibition in Boston in 1843. However, this is your chance to own an authentic painting at a much better deal than those retail outlets command. The artwork here, “Mending the Nets Original”, is an alluring depiction of activity that fills the piers of the majestic harbor, that is saturated with fabulous color and intricate imagery. D’ALESSANDRO ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS SIGNED WithCOA BOATS IN HARBOR 40×30
D’ALESSANDRO ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS UNTITLED SIGNED WITH CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN BOATS IN HARBOR IMAGE MEASURES 40 X 30 INCHES SIGNED IN HER NOM DE PLUME HUMES NEW NEVER DISPLAYED REMOVED FROM ORIGINAL PACKAGING FOR PICTURE TAKING PURPOSE ONLY. D’Alessandro was born in Italy in 1943, the daughter of an Italian diplomat from Brazil. She studied art in Rome and when her father became consul in Brazil she continued her studies there. The paintings by D’Alessandro have been exhibited in the united states since 1967 with great success. Paintings by D’Alessandro have been on permanent exhibit with the Arnot art dealers in New York since 1967. Her work is well- know in Europe and Latin America as well. D’Alessandro also used nom de plume for subject matter that differed from her typical subject matter of her D’Alessandro paintings including: Goodridge, Humes, Montand, Renot, Marlo, Mitchell, la Boete, Bisset, Lapin, la Vie. It is not very often that people ask me what it is that inspired my paintings. I find this question to be very thoughtful and inspiring for my paintings in the future. Growing up in Italy I was surrounded by ports with beautiful boats constantly coming and going. My father and I would often go down to the harbors to look at all of the different boats there. It was at that time that I developed my love of boats, and wanted to capture their beauty on canvas. It inspires me as an artist to know that my paintings are appreciated by the people who see them in the galleries and take them home to share their beauty. D’Alessandro retired from painting after severe bouts with Lyme’s Disease which left her with extreme pain in her joints and has since kept her from her painting studio. D’Alessandro was married to the late artist Luiz Coelho. The item “D’ALESSANDRO ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS SIGNED WithCOA BOATS IN HARBOR 40×30″ is in sale since Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
