Born in Iowa and moved to Chicago when he was 11; He attended Art Institude of Chicago. He moved to NYC in 1893. By 1905 his work was in very high demand and he bought a house in New Rochelle which well known to host residents like Norman Rockwell, Edward Penfiueld, J.
