This is an interesting period Barbizon work that is monogram signed lower left. The frame has an old plaque reading “21”- this suggests the work was part of an exhibition back in the day. Size- 15.75 by 22.5 inches approx including frame, canvas 7 by 14 inches approx. Medium- Oil on canvas. Frame- Antique wooden frame, some knocks and losses, offered free with the painting. Condition- We would be very happy to hang this one as found. There is however a good deal of varnish browning and some old restoration to the sky.
