The only Thekla Knierim I could find reference to on Google lived in Indianapolis, and died in 1983 at 94 years of age. Appears to be a homemade frame of thin wood nailed to the edges of the canvas. Measures 15.5″ x 13.5″. Back of canvas has some spots. They do not show on the front of the painting. Canvas could be tightened and cleaned a bit. See pics for details.
