Mid Century Modern Vtg Impressionist Textured Brutalist Sailboat Painting Art
This is for a mid century modern brutalist abstract textured sailboat sunset art piece. Frame is solid oak stained in a darker walnut matte type finish with a muted gold tone trim detail closer to art piece. Piece is signed in bottom right corner. Art is texured with thicker areas from brush strokes. Various colors nicely blended creating the piece. Total with frame piece measures 27.5 tall, 21.5 wide. Framing is 1.75 deep. The actual art exposed itself is 23.5 tall and 17.5 wide. No damage at all to art. Frame is solid with exception of some lighter areas to 2 corners. Easily corrected with tiny dab of stain to restain area. This is one of my favorites but no longer have room for. Please see all photos as part of description. Thank you for stopping and looking. Description & Condition: Up for sale is this antique circa 1940’s American yachting sailboats cruising oil painting. It depicts two vessels speeding along with a steamer in the distance to the left. It is signed in lower right Fernandes? And is in good condition. It measures 16″ by 14″ and painted wood frame 20 1/2″ by 18 1/2″. Please view all the photos and if you have any questions please ask. For the past twelve years, I have been traveling in my Airstream trailer painting landscapes of this beautiful country of ours creating art that tries to capture a poetic mood. Inspired by the color and light, whether on a majestic landscape or intimate still life, using the techniques of Impressionism, Tonalism, and Realism is what I wish to share with the viewer. Exploring not only the landscape of the United States but also the wonderful art treasures we as a country possess. I have studied in many of the art museums from coast to coast and have learned many a lesson from the great art masters of the past. From Rembrandt to Monet, to Van Gogh to Jackson Pollock and beyond. As an actor, which I have begun fairly recently, I have been on many sets. As a volunteer firefighter, I have a deeper sense of community by giving what I can to help those in need. Born in 1959, in Kazakhstan, Natalia Sinkovsky finished her Masters in Architecture in her homeland, where she also took drawing and painting courses. Sinkovsky immigrated to Israel with her family in 1995 and initially worked as an interior designer and architect, before expanding into painting professionally in 2002. Primarily painting in acrylic, Sinkovsky initiates her artistic process with an idea, rather than a predefined sketch, and applies layers of paint in thick application using a palette knife, before adding small graphic elements. She appreciates all art styles and movements, but is primarily inspired by abstract art and modern design, due in part to her background in architecture. Her sailboats series are influenced by her appreciation for the Expressionist, Baroque, and Cubist movements. In her artwork, Sinkovsky employs bright, cheerful colors to complement her optimistic outlook on life.
