I couldn’t find out if this was done by Thomas Hill or Thomas Hope McKay, both Scottish painters of this style. Archie Palmer Wigle, he owned an art gallery in Detroit after WWII until his death in 1963. He framed or reframed his in 1957, I think this painting dates from the turn of the century. In great condition for its age, a little dirty, frame has some nicks. Measures with frame 19″ by 24 3/4″. I try to find any defects but I can’t guarantee I’ll see them all. This is an older item and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made.
