Was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1958. Migrated to the United States. His interests in art began at a very young age, and attributes this to the fact his mother always had art around the house, and a garage full of them. By his teen years his work was already gaining notoriety and recognition, even at the international level. As the years progressed he developed and mastered his own unique style of painting. He was a student of the late renowned Haitian painter Henry Bresil. Bresil quickly recognized Paraison’s talent. Paraison was an excellent student as well as an artist, and learned much from Bresil as well as other Haitian artists, and the masters as well. He had some professional training at “The French Institute of Haiti”. He has also been featured or mentioned in numerous publications both here in the US and in many of the countries he has traveled to including “The New Yorker” Magazine January, 18th 1988. Paraison liked his own work of Haitian art so much that there are some pieces he would never sell or part with. His painting “Three Tigers in the Moonlight” is part of the Winslow Anderson Collection of Haitian Art and is housed at the Huntington Museum of Art in San Marino California.
