From 1979 to 1981 he attended Dnepropetrovsk Art School No. From 1981 to 1986 he studied in Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts and graduated with distinction. From 1987 to 1990 Vitaliy Karpenko worked for St. Petersburg Art Conservation Center, where he performed monumental and decorative painting and did restoration works in several museums Feodosia, Ukraine. During the period from 1995 to 2002 he participated in international art exhibitions on the territory of Ukraine and Russia. From 2010 to 2016 he took part in international art exhibitions in China, Hong Kong and other Asian counties, among them Shanghai Art Fair, Art Canton, Art Beijing, Art Basel in Asia and many others.
